Paragliding on Mount Kilimanjaro
Soar off the Roof of Africa — a rare, permit-based paragliding adventure that lets experienced pilots glide from Kilimanjaro's high slopes with the Tanzanian plains stretching out far below.
Kilimanjaro is one of the very few places on earth where you can launch from a snow-capped equatorial peak. Sanctioned by park authorities, tandem and solo pilots take flight from the mountain's upper reaches, using parachutes or wingsuits to descend past the alpine desert, moorland and montane forest zones.
It is a genuine bucket-list adventure for certified paragliders and an unforgettable new perspective on Africa's highest mountain. Flights are weather-dependent and require special KINAPA permits, so they are arranged in advance through licensed operators.
